The observational study examines how school children develop physical health issues while carrying their heavy backpacks. The study investigates how common and severe musculoskeletal problems students experience when they carry heavy loads which affect a group of primary school students who range from 6 to 12 years old. The study included 500 students who attended multiple schools, and researchers obtained data through three methods: surveys, interviews, and physical examinations. The research results show an alarming pattern because many students reported experiencing discomfort which resulted from their school backpacks. Students reported back pain and shoulder pain as well as postural changes and fatigue, which affected their ability to function normally and their physical and mental health. The statistical analysis shows a link between bag weight and carrying duration and the development of musculoskeletal symptoms. The study results demonstrate that schools must implement ergonomic solutions together with educational programs which will help them reduce health hazards caused by heavy school bags. The guidelines for school bags need to be updated according to the first recommendation, and schools should use lighter ergonomic designs, and they should train parents and teachers about load handling, and schools should teach students how to protect their musculoskeletal system. Future research should investigate how school bags impact students during extended periods while testing ways to stop school bag-related physical health issues among elementary school children.
